Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:15pm in the Conference Room at the Shoalhaven Police & Community Youth Club on Park Road South Nowra.
We often have informative guest speakers at our meetings and we welcome new members and visitors to come along!

An inaugural meeting was called Saturday 19th November 1977 for 2.30pm at the home of Mr Errol Wilson.
Present for the meeting were Mr & Mrs Henkel, Mr Errol Wilson and his mother, Mr & Mrs Malgrem, Mr & Mrs Harp, Mr Jack Staples & his brother, Mr & Mrs Hancock, Mr & Mrs Donovan, Mr & Mrs Tippet. These people went on to became the foundation members of the Club. Nominations taken and voted for with the outcome for President going to Mr T Harp, Secretary going to Mr D Hancock and Treasurer to Mr E Wilson. The name was voted for Shoalhaven Avicultural Society Membership fees were voted as: Adults $6, Juniors $1, Associates $1, with the financial year as 1st January to 31st December each year. The second meeting was held Wednesday 14th December 1977 in the Amenities Room, Nowra Technical Room with 24 people in attendance. 1988: Mr Taffy Harp presented with Life Membership Certificate Over the years the club has welcomed many new members. The club has also welcomed the hard working presidents over the years. 1989 Bob Brown, 1990 Robin Brooks, 1991 Aub Francis, 1995 Joelle Marshall, 1998 Nick Harding, 1991 Joelle Marshall, 1998 Allan Hooper, 2007 John Claydon, 2010 Craig Jeffery, 2015 Ray Faulds. Life Membership has been issued to several members for their hard work and support. 1999 Aub Francis, 2000 Joelle Marshall, 2004 Allan Hopper October 2003 saw the club move and second the holding of an annual Bird Sale with the first being Saturday 17th April 2004 at the Nowra PCYC with all profits to be donated to the PCYC. December 2003 the club printed their own shirts November 2011 the Club launches its own Internet Website which has grown and evolved over the past years. |
