Presidents Report  for AGM February 2018

Another AGM has come around and I feel that our Society is in a very stable position due to the help of the Executive Committee and to the members who travel long distances to support the Meetings.
I must thank some of the Executive members who do a lot of extra work behind the scenes. Cheryl Hamilton our Secretary/Editor who keeps our minutes up to date and sends all information for the Magazine to our Printer. To Helen Pryor, who keeps the public notified by sending articles to the local papers every month.  Mr Frank Fikkers, our Treasurer who keeps tight control of our financial information. Also thanks go to Paul Collins who is our Ring Steward.
There are a few people, not on the Executive, who help at our Meetings each month. Thanks  to Lorraine Hughes who prints the envelopes for delivery of our Bird Tales Magazine every month and membership cards. Thanks to Sean and Dale young who set up the technology for our Guest Speakers each meeting. We also thank our 3 Supper Stewards, Marilyn Higgins, Sue and Robert Fish. These people prepare our supper for the members and Guests each month. A big thanks go to other ladies who provide extra food for the suppers. Steve Helson is always there to run the Raffles for us to help raise extra funds. Thanks Steve.
A  very special thanks go to each of our members who provide great Raffle prizes for the in house raffles every month and also the Annual Bird sale.
2017 saw us run a very successful Annual Bird sale once again. Thanks to all those members who help set up, pull down and steward the entry of Birds from all over the state on the Sale day.
Thanks also go to the ladies who assist by running the entry area.
Our Aviary tour in 2017 was a great success. We visited 2 large Aviary complexes and enjoyed the morning and afternoon teas which were provided by our hosts. A great day was had by all in the Batemans Bay area and on the Clyde River. We sincerely thank Sue and Robert Fish also Graeme and Myee Rawson for opening their homes to us all.
I hope all our members enjoyed the speakers who were so kind as to travel to Nowra to impart their  avian knowledge to us all. Many thanks go to all those Speakers.
I believe the Society is in a very secure position due to all of our current Members.
Kind Regards Ray Faulds
