Bywong & Canberra
By Ray Faulds
Saturday 12th march saw our latest outing. Leaving from Braidwood Rd and heading to the Nerriga hotel for a sumptuous morning tea consisting of scones, jam & cream and slices made for us by the Ladies Auxiliary.
From Nerriga we went to Bywong to the lovely home of John and Jennifer Roset.
The aviaries are huge to allow his Eccies and Macaws to fly at their leisure. The Family then served us with a lovely lunch- with Pavlova for dessert!
The afternoon saw us heading to Canberra Walk in Aviaries where we were hosted by Mick Logan and his Staff for the walk through.
A great place to take the family to feed the birds and see all the different varieties. Afternoon tea was supplied to the members.
I would like to thank all the Hosts and Hostesses for a wonderful day and making our outing friendly and successful.
Many Thanks, Ray
